In January 2022, the state of Illinois enacted a series of gun control laws and they were challenged in federal and state courts. In the Accuracy Firearms LLC, et al. v. Pritzker state appellate case, in a 2 to 1 decision, the court uphold the lower court's entry of the temporary restraining order in favor of the gun rights plaintiffs enjoining as to those plaintiffs various parts of the Illinois gun control laws.
